is a Dean of the Faculty of Power Engineering and Telecommunication at the Georgian Technical University. He graduated from Faculty of Power Engineering of Georgian Polytechnic Institute in 1972. In 1972-73 we worked at the Thermal Power Unit of Rustavi Metallurgical Plant as a head of shift. Since 1973 he heldthe positions of laboratory manager and assistant at the Theoretical and General Thermal Energy and Thermal Device Department of the Georgian Technical University. Prof. Arabidze served as a Deputy Head of Faculty of Power Engineering between 1998 and 2005. He holds the position of the Dean of the Faculty of Power Engineering and Telecommunication since 2005. He obtained the degrees of a Candidate of Technical Sciences in 1987 and a Doctor of Technical Sciences in 2004 at the Georgian Technical University and has held the academic positions of Docent since 1987 and a full professor since 2004 at the same university.Prof. Arabidze offers the courses in the following disciplines: Thermal Energy Devices; Fuels and Combustion Theory; Boilers and Steam Generators; Environmental Impacts of Thermal Energy Devices and Mitigation Measures. He has authored and co-authored more than 115 scientific publications including 18 text books and 5 monographs. Text book titled Boiler Devices co-authored by Prof. Arabidze in 2005 was acknowledged by the prize of the Georgian Academy of Energy. Prof. Arabidze has worked with number of international organizations, companies and investors on various projects throughout the country. He participated in several pilot energy efficiency projects implemented in Tbilisi and different regions in Georgia. These projects introduced energy saving technologies to households, educational facilities, medical, commercial and industrial units. Prof. Arabidze is also actively involved in international scientific and educational projects. He has cooperated with number of international organization including EC, UNDP, GEF, USAID etc. Some of the projects that he was involved in include: Creating Favorable Environment in the Country for the Introduction of Energy Efficient Technologies; Problems of Safe and Reliable Operation of Thermal and Atomic Power Plants; Reconstruction of Engineering and Educational Plans in the Georgian Technical University; Management of Energy Consumption;Alternative Sources of Energy for Stepanstminda Region; Development of Energy Consumption Monitoring System for the Georgian Technical University; Powering the Lighting of Gori-Kareli Section of the East-West Main Highway with Solar Energy; Emergency Response Plan and Normative Database for the Georgian Energy Sector; Development of Bachelor’s Course in Energy Supply of the Household, Recreational and Industrial Units with Renewable Energy and Energy Efficient Technologies; Assessment of Residue Biomass Energy Potential for Georgia and its Demonstration through Pilot Project in Natakhtati School etc.
Prof. Arabidze is a member of the Georgian Academy of Engineering and Energy, Georgian and American Associations of Energy Engineers. He is a certified energy manager.
Prof. Arabidze’s contribution to the Georgian educational system was acknowledged by Order of Honor in 2003.

Maka Gudiashvili graduated from the Georgian Polytechnic Institute in 1987 and gets Engineer - Electrician qualification with specialization: ,,Electricity Supply of Industrial Enterprises, Towns and Villages”. She studied in post graduate course inEconomy Research Institute of the Economic and Social Problems of Georgia In 1995-1998. She defended her doctoral dissertation in 1999 at Ivane Javakhishvili State University on the subject ,,The Improvement of the Capital Funds of Georgian Power Engineering in a Market Economy”. She was awarded the scientific degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences, specialty ,,Economic of Industrial Enterprises”. She was awarded the academic title of Docent in 2003.
MakaGudiashvilihas several scientific works, including several textbooks and Training - methodical literature. She was awarded from the Georgian Energy Academy in 2007 and received a premium for her guidance issued textbook ,,Economic of Fuel - Energy Complex Enterprises”. She has received certificates of participation in trainings held by USAID/CAUCASUSand INOGATE/SEMISE during 2009-2012 year period. MakaGudiashvili is a member of International Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) USA, Atlanta.
